New Business:

  • Thank you for reviewing the committees and councils list.
  • There were a lot of issues with groups that have not met in years. For example, the Promotion Review committee hasn’t met in two years, and we have other grievance processes in place. Perhaps we need an appellate body for all of the grievance issues instead of separate groups.
  • Graduate faculty membership expirations are possibly on hold. The information online needs correction. This is being followed up on.
  • Could the university secure a device/app for tracking Covid? There are free systems available.
  • We are moving to Yuja from Kaltura.
  • We may need some meetings during the summer due to the Covid situation.

Elections:

  • The election was conducted via Microsoft forms. Jennifer Fowler was uncontested for president. Ashley Dockens was uncontested for Secretary.
  • The vice-president slot had three nominees: Cheng-Hsien Lin, Dorothy Sisk, and Paul Hemenway.
  • Cheng-Hsien Lin won with 27 votes to 7 for Dorothy Sisk and 8 for Paul Hemenway.
