The Mary and John Gray Library serves as the principal library for Lamar Institute of Technology students. LIT Students and Employees have full access to the entire range of services offered by the Library. Visit the library for more information. Additional areas of campus services such as the Student Health center may have services accessible to LIT students. Please contact the Student Health center for details.

LEA Accounts

LIT Students and Employees are provided with a Lamar Electronic Account (LEA) for logging in to computers and accessing Lamar Services. Your LEA account will be prefixed with "LIT_" and your "T#".

  • I forgot my LEA password or need to reset it.

    Use Password Reset

    This option will ask you for answers to your 2 security questions to validate your identity.

    Note: Your new password must be at least 15 characters using uppercase, lowercase, a special character and a number. Do not use any part of your name or username in the new password. You may not use previous passwords.

  • I need to change my LEA password.

    This option will prompt you for your current LEA username and password and allow you to change your password.

  • I need to register my LEA account, so I can easily reset my password when I forget it.

    Register your LEA account with Password Reset so you can easily reset your password anytime.

    What is LEA 2-Step and, as a LIT Student or Employee, do I need to use it for accessing Lamar services?

    Yes, LIT Students and Employees will require LEA 2-Step logins. Log in with your current LEA password and set up your security questions now! LEA 2-Step (DUO) enrollment required.

    Detailed Instructions:

    1. Go to www.Lamar.edu, click LU Connect, click Students or Faculty/Staff, click Passwords.
    2. Log in to Password Reset: Type your LEA username and password and click Login.
    3. In the Welcome popup, click the Click Here button.
    4. Select, answer, and confirm 4 security questions from the drop-down boxes then click Next.
    5. Download the Duo Mobile app from the App Store or Play Store.
    6. Click Next to begin the LEA 2-Step (DUO) enrollment.
    7. Click Start Setup.
    8. Follow the onscreen instructions.
    9. Then click on Continue to Login. Select Send Me a Push and approve on your phone. This step confirms operation of LEA 2-Step and you will see an enrollment successful message.

  • I forgot my LEA username.

    Read Instructions on How to Retrieve Your LEA Account (PDF) for instructions to retrieve your LEA account.

    Need More Info? Read the Detailed Instructions

    1. Go to , click Students, click Self-Service Banner.
    2. Log in to Self-Service Banner with your T-number and 6-digit PIN.
    3. Click Personal Information.
    4. Click Change Your Pin OR Recover LEA Username and Password.
    5. Scroll down until you see your LEA Username.
  • I need to change my security questions, so I can easily reset my password when needed.

    If you know the answers to your security questions, you can easily reset your password anytime you forget it.

    1. Go to www.Lamar.edu, click LU Connect, click Students or Faculty/Staff, click Passwords
    2. Log in to Password Reset: Type your LEA username and password and click Log in.
    3. Click Enrollment.
    4. Click the Pencil Icon next to View my security questions to view your questions.
    5. Click the Modify button.
    6. Uncheck the Hide Answer(s) checkbox so you can see what you type.
    7. Choose your 4 security questions.
    8. Type your 4 answers.
    9. Click Update once finished.
    10. Click Sign Out from the drop-down in the top right corner.
  • My account was working yesterday, and now it's not working today.

    Accounts for LIT Students and Employees are set to expire after four months. If you setup your account more than four months ago, you will need to follow the same instructions to retrieve your account.

    This step automatically extends the account for another four months.
