LU ranks among most affordable colleges in Texas

Pursuing higher education can be expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Â鶹ÊÓƵ, along with Lamar State College-Port Arthur and Lamar Institute of Technology were ranked among the Most Affordable Colleges in Texas, according to .

Lamar State College-Port Arthur ranked in the No. 1 spot, with $80/credit hour (in state) and $488/credit hour (out of state). Lamar Institute of Technology ranked in the No. 2 spot, with $80/credit (in state) and $488/credit (out of state). Â鶹ÊÓƵ came in at No. 10, with $5,293/semester (in state) and $11,428/semester (out of state).

The list includes the following:
1.     Lamar State College-Port Arthur • Tuition and Fees: $2,400
2.     Lamar Institute of Technology • Tuition and Fees: $2,844
3.     Galveston College • Tuition and Fees: $2,950
4.     Alvin Community College • Tuition and Fees: $2,834
5.     College of the Mainland • Tuition and Fees: $2,973
6.     Texas A&M University-Central Texas • Tuition and Fees: $6,627
7.     Angelo State University • Tuition and Fees: $8,186
8.     Texas A&M International University • Tuition and Fees: $7,845
9.     Tarleton State University • Tuition and Fees: $7,790
