Public art at Â鶹ÊÓƵ makes our campus a truly unique destination, even in the midst of a city known for its many museums. Tucked around corners and in buildings, LU's public art creates countless moments for spontaneous community building and conversation.
Art extends the intellectual life of our university beyond classrooms, libraries, and labs, and into the everyday spaces that shape our experiences. Students, staff, faculty, and visitors alike participate anew in the life of our public art each time they pass by—they find themselves passing slowly, compelled to stop and to think.
We encourage you to learn more about the works on campus and the artists who created them.
Works of art purchased for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ campus are made by the LU Public Art Committee. The committe is made up of individuals who are knowledgeable about art from aesthetic, technical and art historical points of view.
