The Psychology Clinic at Â鶹ÊÓƵ provides psychotherapy services free of charge to LU students, faculty, staff, as well as members of the community. The clinic serves adults (over 18) and some children (evaluated on a case by case basis). Clients are seen by graduate students studying for the Master's Degree in Applied Psychology. Dr. Melanie Webb, the Clinical Track training director and a licensed psychologist, supervises all students providing clinical services.
Therapists will listen to your concerns in a warm, confidential, and caring environment. We will help you identify, value, and maximize your strengths so that you are able to meet life challenges. Therapists use scientifically validated techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, among others. We are also happy to coordinate treatment with medical care provided to you by a primary care physician or a psychiatrist.
Because the cilnic is staffed by therapists in training, some problems may not be suitable for treatment in our clinic. If your difficulties are beyond the training of our staff, we will refer you to appropriate resources in the community that will better serve your needs.
Call or come by to talk with us about scheduling an initial appointment with one of our therapists.
