Internship for Credit Program

Why an Internship?

An internship with an industry organization will help prepare you for a successful career in communication. During your internship, you will practice what you have learned in the classroom, network with future colleagues, and immerse yourself in the communication industry. Students are strongly encouraged to supplement traditional classroom experience with relevant on-the-job training in their area of study.

The Department of Communication and Media offers an internship for credit program (Comm 3361 and Comm 4361), where juniors and seniors receive degree credit and experience in paid or unpaid communication positions. An internship for credit involves enrolling in and paying for college credit. This includes tuition and all associated fees based on three credit hours.
